Who manages the community?
The board of directors often engages contractors to perform various maintenance jobs.
- The members elect a board of directors, which makes the day-to-day decisions. This way decisions may be made efficiently and in the best interest of the group.
- The co-op may contract for certain tasks (bill paying, snow plowing, landscaping, and other various community maintenance tasks). Sometime to keep costs down, homeowners work together on community tasks.
- Employees work under the direction of the board and the Property Management Company.
